Pairi Daiza, the superb animal park in Picardy Wallonia, voted best zoo in Europe, has entrusted Technord with the adaptation of its Medium Voltage power supplies.
Customer challenge
The existing 5MVA connection was insufficient for the development of the park and the installation of over 60,000 photovoltaic panels, so a new 19MVA connection was required. The park also wanted a real-time view of its electricity consumption and the monitoring of its installations.
Technord’s solution
Technord and its partner Schneider have implemented a comprehensive and innovative solution:
- Installation of a Medium Voltage substation directly connected from a GRD substation to supply the park and install the photovoltaic panels, integrating a Power Monitoring solution and an energy management solution,
- Installation of 25 Schneider PIX medium-voltage cells, 6 Schneider SM6 medium-voltage cells, TGBT and transformers,
- Integration of an Ecostruxure Power Monitoring Expert solution,
- Integration of an Ecostruxure Power SCADA Operation solution
