Find out how our industrial electrical experts helped install a new low-voltage mixer feeder.
Customer challenge
Following the success of its products, one of our customers, a major player in the industrial bakery sector, was faced with an urgent need to increase its production capacity for pre-baked bread.
The watchword for this low-voltage project was speed of execution, to enable production to be increased as quickly as possible.
Technord’s solution
The technical solution proposed and its implementation combined efficiency and speed.
The installation consisted of two parts:
- A first “process” part corresponding to the mixing of flour, salt, small ingredients, yeast, oil and water for automated mixers.
- A second “production management” section for the rest of the plant (mixers, shaping, proofer, oven, cooling, packaging and palletizing machines, storage).
A few figures on the project
For the “process” part
- 50 motors, including 20 on inverters or starters
- 7 air dryers for flour and salt silos
- 175 valves and diverters
- 106 sensors and probes
- 7 weighing hoppers with load cells
For the “production management” section
- Approx. 220 digital I/Os wired and distributed throughout the system
For the entire project
- Studies for the construction of 3 cabinets for the process section, 7 control panels and 4 cabinets for production management to retrieve information from the various machines and building utilities.
- 1,250 hours spent by the Design Office on studies, electrical diagrams, wiring workshop supervision and site supervision.
- 3,000 hours of on-site assembly by site crews
Customer gain
The company is in a position to meet the increase in orders. Despite the longer-than-expected lead times on the civil engineering and assembly sections, our teams were able to make up most of the delay and start work within an acceptable timeframe, enabling us to meet our orders.
