By creating a project in collaboration with DSI, aimed at inspecting and characterizing nuclear waste, we were rewarded by the public and by the jury of the Wap’Innov competition.
Wap’Innov, a competition that rewards innovators in Picardy’s Walloon region
Wap’Innov is a competition organized in collaboration with Notélé. The aim of the competition is to reward the most innovative companies in Wallonia-Picardy.
Syscade, an innovative nuclear waste recycling project
Dealing with nuclear waste is a major challenge for many countries around the world, and one that has a direct impact on our environment.
That’s why we decided to join the Syscade project.
Syscade is a mobile laboratory for inspecting and characterizing nuclear waste. It provides a solution for cataloguing nuclear waste drums stored in power plants, landfill sites or buried in the ground.
Thanks to the expertise of our teams, the entire waste identification and radioactivity measurement process is carried out in a fully automated mobile container.
Why Technord wanted to join the Syscade project
We were keen to get involved in an innovative project like this because we are very concerned about the environment and the well-being of future generations.
Our teams worked on the electrical and automation aspects of this formidable technological challenge.
Thanks to the mobilization of our teams and those of DSI, we were able to win a double award from the public and the jury, for which we are very grateful.
